Community360 provide transport services across Colchester, Maldon and Chelmsford. The scheme seeks to address inaccessibility to services, activities and facilities. The scheme improves the transport provision for people in the local community who have limited mobility (be it through permanent or temporary disablement, illness, accident or age) or who would otherwise be socially excluded or geographically isolated through rurality.
This role is based in Tiptree and the main duties include working with the Operations Manager to:
1. Organise and supervise (Line Manage) a team of drivers
2. Oversee maintenance of vehicle fleet ensuring compliance and safety
3. Accurate recording on bespoke databases
4. Support schedulers in timely, efficient scheduling of all trips
5. Assist in identifying new opportunities for the transport service
You will work with team members, local community, volunteers, partner organisations, local authority and commissioners.
You will bring:
* Excellent communication (written, verbal and listening) skills with an ability to write reports and papers
* Ability to work in a team environment
* Flexibility
* Competent and secure use of IT, including Email, Internet, MS Office 365, Database and Cloud technologies
* An ability to prioritise tasks, workload and manage time effectively
* A clean driving licence (D1 Entitlement preferable)
* Ability to carry out safety checks and experience of minibus driving
* Great interpersonal skills to work with diverse communities
* An ability to multi-task within a dynamic, fast-paced, and changing environment
* A “can do” attitude with innovative ideas and assist in delivering services on time, efficiently and in accordance with relevant key performance indicators, ensuring a high-quality customer focus service at all times.
* Willingness to travel if needed.
