About the role:
We are seeking a passionate Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to support pupils in small-group and one-to-one settings. This part-time, ongoing role involves assisting children in catching up with the curriculum, focusing on literacy, numeracy, and confidence-building. The role also includes working closely with children who have additional needs, ensuring they feel supported and inspired to achieve their best. Application Requirements:
• Has prior experience working with children in an educational setting, ideally within KS1.
• Is skilled in providing tailored support, including interventions for literacy and numeracy.
• Can effectively support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred but not essential).
• Is enthusiastic, patient, and adaptable, with excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support, focusing on academic and social development.
• Deliver targeted intervention programs in literacy and numeracy.
• Assist in creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Support children with SEN to ensure they have equal access to learning opportunities.
• Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCo to monitor progress and adapt strategies as needed.
