PRIMARY TEACHING ASSISTANT FOR WHOLE CLASS PROVISION WITHIN KS1 REQUIRED FOR SEPTEMBER 2024 (or as soon as possible)
Monday – Friday, 8.30 a.m. – 3.00 p.m.
30 hours per week, Term Time Only

As a Primary TA you will support all children, this will predominantly be in the class during the morning and in the afternoons you will be expected to do a variety of provisions – phonics, speech and language, reading, comprehension, precision, clever hands etc. You will support children beyond the classroom as and when required, enabling them to be ready to learn. You will be expected to maintain accurate records, work with children on a 1:1 basis as required and be on duty at break time and lunch time throughout the day. There will also be opportunities to support clubs and extended day activities if desired.
To be successful in this role you will have:
1. Understanding and experience of working with AEN children
2. Experience of moving children forward.
3. Experience supporting in Key Stage 1
4. An understanding of assessment at relevant levels
5. Experience in the use of Too simple or similar app based assessment
6. The ability to be flexible to the needs of the school
7. The ability to work on your own and as part of a team
8. First Aid qualification (not essential but desirable and willingness to train if not currently held).
