Job Title: Helpdesk Apprentice
Working Hours:
* Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.00am and 18:00pm
Job Summary:
We are looking to recruit a Helpdesk Apprentice who is a hardworking, organised individual with flexibility and a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities:
1. Becoming a valued part of the IT Support team
2. Learning how to provide technical support
3. Assisting in customer projects and support activities as skills allow
4. Gaining on-the-job experience and utilizing the skills acquired during the apprenticeship
5. Helping existing staff and sub-contractors deliver IT support services to clients
6. Learning to handle telephone support calls and incoming helpdesk emails
7. Managing the helpdesk system, ensuring all calls are handled within appropriate timescales
8. Resolving first line support issues and collaborating with experienced staff to address more complex problems
9. Updating company systems
You will be working towards an Information Communications Technician Level 3 Qualification over the course of 15 months.

Qualifications Required:
To be considered for this role, you ideally will hold a C/4 grade in both GCSE Maths & English, and in three or four other subjects at least. You should have a GCSE, BTEC or A Level in ICT or at least hands-on experience with the workings of computers and IT. Please note that you must not hold an existing qualification at a higher level in a similar subject (e.g., a degree).
Future Prospects:
Our clients have a successful history of developing apprentices, currently employing 11 ex-apprentices in various roles. For technical roles, this may include moving into 2nd line technical roles, project management, or field roles. They view this as an investment in the future of the business, with the desire to employ the apprentice in a full-time role once graduated.
Training to be Delivered:
Information Communications Technician Apprenticeship L3 including Functional Skills in Maths and English.
