Marketing and Fundraising Manager (Legacies)
Location: Flexible across the UK, hybrid working between home and our London Head Office
35 Hours per week
Salary: £36,488 per annum (plus Inner London Weighting, £3,344, if applicable)
12-month Fixed Term Contract (Maternity cover)
Are you a dynamic marketing and fundraising professional with a passion for making a difference? The British Red Cross has an exciting opportunity for a Marketing and Fundraising Manager to join our Legacies team within our newly integrated Marketing, Fundraising and Communications directorate.
A day in the life of a Marketing and Fundraising Manager (Legacies)
Legacies currently raise approximately £40 million each year, which is about a quarter of the British Red Cross’ total fundraised income. This role, based within the Legacy Marketing & Fundraising team, is integral in ensuring we can secure future legacy income for the British Red Cross.
You will manage the acquisition and engagement of legacy supporters through both online and offline channels, working collaboratively with our media agency, internal teams and external partners. You’ll also work closely with teams within Legacies and across the organisation to optimise supporter journeys. This includes reviewing and designing journeys for new legacy supporters as well as onward engagement for existing legacy supporters, utilising your skills and experience to maximise legacy income potential.
No day is the same in this role. With a wide range of campaigns and projects to focus on, you’ll have the opportunity to gain lots of experience in legacy marketing and stewardship and enable our team to deliver audience-led, well-integrated, impactful, and timely communications for British Red Cross supporters.
What you’ll bring to the role
We are looking for someone with excellent knowledge and experience of working with a range of marketing and fundraising channels and techniques. You will have:
* Experience in supporting and delivering multi-channel campaigns with creative and media agencies, along with experience in creative development and asset management.
* Proficiency in project management, with the capability to coordinate complex schedules and handle competing priorities.
* Experience in managing multiple internal and external stakeholders, with a dedicated focus on relationship management.
* Passion for creating a brilliant supporter experience and having a supporter-led mindset.
* Strong data literacy and experience in evaluating marketing activities, analysing trends and KPIs, applying learnings and making recommendations to improve marketing or fundraising programmes.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to carry out presentations and produce written documents to a high standard.
