An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Leisure Team within Customer and Community Services. Working within a small team you will support a wide range of customers using the sport and leisure facilities within Fauldhouse Partnership Centre. These facilities include: swimming pool, sauna, steam room, sports hall and 3G Pitch.
You will be based between dry-side and poolside and your duties will include:
1. life guarding
2. providing instruction and coaching to users of the facilities
3. setting up and dismantling of equipment
4. cleaning duties in the pool, corridors, changing areas and leisure facilities
5. operating and maintaining pool plant equipment/machinery
6. carrying out routine maintenance of leisure facilities and equipment
7. ensuring the facilities are kept clean, safe and secure
8. assisting with reception tasks and customer enquiries
9. opening and closing of all leisure facilities
10. working with Customer and Community Service colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the building and facilities
We are looking to recruit a friendly, reliable, helpful and passionate individual who will provide a quality service to our leisure and sport customers.
We require you to be diligent and self-motivated and have the ability to work on your own initiative.
You should have good interpersonal skills and have a track record in providing excellent customer service.
You must be in possession of a current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification.
The leisure facilities are open during the day, in the evening and at weekends and a shift allowance of 10% is paid in recognition that you will be required to work at these times. Rota patterns can be discussed should you be invited to an interview.
The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by the West Lothian Council.
