About the Role
We have an opening for a Teaching Fellow who will teach, advise and facilitate the experiential learning of students in formal and informal teaching and learning sessions, using appropriate educational best practices to maximise learning and promote a positive student experience. The Teaching Fellow will have a good knowledge of core areas of Psychology. They will provide synchronous and asynchronous teaching, supporting student activities and coordinating with colleagues to deliver high quality teaching in their specific remit and related areas.
This post is available due to maternity leave cover for up to 12 months. However, should the post-holder exercise their rights to return early, then the contract will end sooner (subject to notice period).
About You
The post holder will contribute to the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning through:
· Teaching and the evaluation and assessment of student achievement and development
· Managing the surrounding student support through, feedback
· Contributing to the evaluation and assessment of modules
· Leading on relevant administrative tasks relevant to the module or programme
Candidates must have a Postgraduate degree in Psychology or related field and/or relevant professional qualification and/or equivalent professional experience.
About the School
The School of Biological and Behavioural Sciences is a large and expanding academic unit, which provides a supportive and friendly environment and encourages interdisciplinary research. The Department of Biological and Experimental Psychology was founded in 2008 and comprises of 33 permanent academics. We emphasise a modern interdisciplinary approach, at the interface between behavioural and biological aspects of Psychology.
