Job Description:
The Role
We are recruiting an Assistant HR Business Partner to be part of the newly established Independent Commission for Reconciliation and Information Recovery (ICRIR).
Key Responsibilities
1. First point of contact for all HR enquiries
2. Providing advice and support to managers in handling of employment issues and the commission's disciplinary and grievance procedures. Assisting with investigations and presenting cases ensuring the procedures are followed consistently
3. Advising managers on the management of sickness and absence
4. Processing payroll in the HR system in a timely manner
5. Supporting managers in developing and maintaining probation and performance review systems
6. Supporting the HR business partners with the analysis and reporting of workforce information
7. Assisting with the implementation of HR initiatives to ensure successful implementation
8. Supporting the HR business partners with ad hoc projects
9. Supporting, developing and running policy awareness events for line managers and other people related to training and development courses
10. Inputting information on other HR systems including annual leave tracker and online training package
11. Monitoring successful candidates through the onboarding process
12. Supporting managers with bi-weekly corporate induction events
13. Supporting HR business partners with developing and implementing inclusion and diversity strategies

Person Specification
Qualifications
1. Associate CIPD or working towards
2. Sound knowledge of Employment legislation and implications for workforce
3. Experience of using HR Information Systems
4. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation and within a multi-disciplinary environment
5. Well organised, with the ability to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines
6. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
7. Awareness and understanding of the importance of confidentiality
8. Experience in partnering with managers to conduct training needs analysis
9. Experience in using a range of analytical tools
10. Willingness to be assessed against the requirements for CTC clearance, if not already cleared
