This full-time Buying Admin Assistant role is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving retail business, supporting the Homewares Buyer and contributing to the success of the Buying Team. Based in beautiful Oxfordshire, this role offers the chance to sharpen your administrative skills while gaining invaluable experience in the online retail industry. Please note, due to the rural office location, a car and driving licence are required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage supplier relationships, including ordering, logging, and returning samples.
* Organise samples for selection meetings, range reviews, and photo shoots.
* Accurately record product information using Excel and maintain associated paperwork.
* Write engaging and detailed product descriptions for catalogues and online use.
* Handle queries from the warehouse and customers, resolving quality issues efficiently.
* Support the team with ad hoc administrative tasks.
1. Skills & Experience:
* Proficient in Excel, with strong data management and interpretation skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and superb organisational abilities.
* Strong written English skills for crafting accurate product descriptions.
* Capable of prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Positive team player with a willingness to learn and adapt.
* A driving licence is essential.
