We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Auditor to join our team. The ideal candidate for this role would have experience in auditing, compliance work and a sound understanding of the food industry. However, this is not compulsory and there will be ample training opportunities provided to the job holder.
A willingness to learn and an enthusiastic, professional attitude towards an exciting role within the industry is essential.
Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications
You must be able to demonstrate a background and understanding of working within a busy food production environment. The candidate will enjoy challenging, problem-solving roles and be ideally suited to a fast-paced environment. You will need have good interpersonal skills and ability to multi-task.
* Desirable you have Food Safety level 2 and HACCP Level 2 - if not training will be given
* You must have good communication skills both verbal and written English
* Ability to communicate at all levels

* Intermediate IT skills

* Able to work to deadlines
* Desirable you have working knowledge within the meat industry and an understanding of animal welfare
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but aren't exclusive to:
- Undertake daily, weekly, monthly technical tasks within the standard operating procedures
- Preforming documented quality checks and monitor performance to ensure that food safety and quality standards are followed.
- Ensure that all records are completed correctly and stored in the correct manner
- Understands requirements of internal, second and third party standards in the manufacturing area.
- Understands non-conformance and reporting requirements for non-conformance and escalate to management.
- Conduct basic root cause analysis for defects, non-conformances or other quality failures
