Urogynaecology
We are a BSUG accredited unit with an RCOG approved subspecialty training programme, and receive local, regional, and national referrals. We offer all NICE recommended treatment options for prolapse and incontinence but have particular expertise in minimal access surgery (laparoscopic sacrohysteropexy, laparoscopic sacrocolpopexy, laparoscopic colposuspension). The key emphasis is on MDT working alongside specialist nurses and physiotherapists. There is a twice monthly dedicated MDT for Urogynaecology, and joint MDTs with the pelvic pain team and the colorectal team once a month. There is opportunity to participate in clinical research. If the successful candidate has completed the ATSM in Urogynaecology and Vaginal Surgery they will have the opportunity to register for the add on Laparoscopic Urogynaecology module.
