The successful candidate will:
* Have experience working with residents living with dementia
* Have a genuine interest in residents
* Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
* Work effectively as part of the Activities Team
* Be able to motivate participation
* Have good organisational skills
* Manage time effectively and plan ahead
* Build residents' self-esteem
* Stay informed about new activities
Role and responsibilities:
* Assist in organising and coordinating tailored activities and group events, including themed events based on holidays and traditions
* Book external entertainers and suppliers
* Organise community outings, considering transport and accessibility
* Contribute to planning a stimulating activity programme to enhance residents' quality of life
* Maintain records of resident participation and review needs regularly
* Keep a portfolio of activities available within the Home and the community
* Participate in fundraising events as required
General:
* Attend and participate in staff meetings
* Complete mandatory and developmental training
* Communicate effectively with staff, relatives, visitors, and professional agencies
* Promote safe working practices within the Home
