Job Summary: Due to the expansion of the current business, they are seeking to recruit a mechanical/electrical fitter. This is a multi-disciplined role, covering both the mechanical and electrical install of AC and DC rotating equipment. This will include the assembly and sub-assemblies of rotors and stators into enclosures, installation and alignment of bearing arrangements, completion of assembly in preparation for painting, motor/generator alignment in readiness for test. In addition, you will be required to carry out electrical installation/termination of various instrumentation into terminal/auxiliary boxes all in accordance with relevant industry standards. As a mechanical/electrical fitter you will be required to handle large components with the use of overhead lifting equipment. The role may entail both on-site and off-site/overseas working.
