Main Purpose of the Position
Facilitate and support the ongoing learning and development of our Rugby based employees, including but not exclusively:
1. Becoming a learning centre champion
2. Interacting with/updating on site department managers and off site internal/external resources and professional bodies as required
3. Co-ordinate and prioritise the site training budget to achieve the business objectives
4. Measure and communicate that Training and Assessment standards are effective in meeting group standards and are being efficiently applied including tools such as the Skills Matrix
5. Ensure technical and non-technical training needs for the Rugby Plant are met including legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Assessment
1. Ensure all site colleagues are assessed to the correct standards and agreed site objectives - in line with Generic Technical Training (GTT) requirements
2. Create new standards and assessment criteria for all technical training requirements not covered by GTT
3. Maintain the relevant skills matrix/My learning.
4. Create, follow, and communicate current status and progress against an annual plan to achieve the above
Training
1. Ensure all preparations and plans are in place and communicated as required for all aspects of compliance, technical and non-technical training on site. Liaise with the relevant site teams to ensure this is updated as required.
2. Facilitate/support CI events and training required in line with the Ardagh Manufacturing Production System (AMPS)
3. Ensure the necessary resources are in place to support both training plans. Facilitate any prioritisation or resolution of conflicts and gaps so that all site and external parties are aligned.
4. Be capable of delivering effective training as required.
5. This should include at least 4 weeks of delivered training per year to ensure self-competency is maintained.
6. This includes induction of all new RGB colleagues
7. Audit all training standards on site to ensure they comply with the relevant best practice.
8. Communicate any gaps and work with internal/external resources as required to produce a plan to close the gap.
9. Be the site expert for the use of My Learning and the Skills Matrix
10. Ensure MyLearning/Skills Matrix for RGB site activities is updated and current
11. Ensure all tracking, monitoring and reporting is completed in a timely manner
Reporting
1. Ensure all site activities are measured vs an agreed and resourced plan and the results are communicated to the relevant parties
2. Lead the site training meeting at an agreed interval. Maintain and publish KPI and actions associated to clearly show site competency and training plan progress.
3. Lead the site to create and agree an annual budget for all training.
4. Seek and suggest improvements to increase site performance in this area
5. Track and publish performance against the budget and agree any actions with site leadership team.
6. Maintain and track position with training providers including SAP etc as required
7. Be site point of contact for both Adult and Traditional Apprenticeship routes
8. Create, update progress on each individual on the plan liaising with site and external bodies as required
9. Ensure an effective process is in place so that site and each individual on the program gets timely feedback. Support site leadership team on the management of these individuals
Qualification/Experience
The Training Coordinator should have at least five years of experience in a similar role or within a coordination or a fast-paced administrative role, CI experience desirable.
