Job Role Summary:
Reporting directly to the Associate Director, this role is accountable for the people, processes, costs, and sales within the Sales & Marketing department. Excellent leadership qualities combined with communication and creativity, alongside business acumen, will ensure marketing activities are aligned to support the achievement of the required sales revenue. All work must be carried out in accordance with the ISO 9001 quality management system standards and procedures in place.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead a team of professionals involved in the sales and marketing activities of the company, incorporating the areas of sales, marketing, and estimating.
* Track market developments, create strategies, set up sales plans, and maintain customer relations.
* Research and develop marketing opportunities and implement new sales plans.
* Manage both the marketing and sales staff, performing managerial duties to meet the company's operational goals.
* Develop marketing plans, measure sales goals, and create marketing and sales strategies to improve brand awareness and drive sales.
* Ensure all targeted marketing activity proactively secures new customer sales, achieving monthly revenue targets and KPIs.
* Keep department costs to a minimum.
* Ensure accurate, effective, and timely quotes are produced.
* Ensure the pricing/quoting system holds accurate and up-to-date information at all times.
* Build strong business relationships with all key stakeholders, customers, suppliers, and external consultants.
* Identify future revenue-generating ideas.
Key Accountabilities:
* Responsible for the revenue and costs within the Sales & Marketing areas and the prices within the quote system, with overall accountability for achieving the gross profit margin target.
* Effective management and leadership of staff, delivering all required management disciplines, health and safety, motivation, support, and development as directed by the Company Administrator.
* Ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of the Sales & Marketing teams and systems, including Sales & Marketing and Estimating.
* Ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of the quotes and quoting systems, and pricing structures.
* Follow the Sales & Marketing processes in place and recommend improvements.
* Embrace changes or new ways of working as the business reviews and updates its processes and practices.
* Carry out the role with honesty and integrity, demonstrating the company values, and acting in the company's best interest.
Required Experience/Technical Skills & Knowledge:
* Minimum 2 years of sales and marketing management experience.
* Minimum 2 years of experience managing teams.
* Experience in developing and delivering creative marketing strategies through existing business and new prospecting business.
* Experience working within agreed targets, KPIs, and deadlines.
* Proven track record of making sound commercial decisions.
