We have Nursing Assistant career opportunities available for you across our inpatient mental health wards, mental health care division.
NVQ in Health and Social Care and experience of working in a care environment is essential.
As a Nursing Assistant, you’ll be at the heart of patient care, working closely with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to deliver outstanding person-centred care.

Main duties of the job
* Support the clinical team in the delivery of a high standard of care by assisting with and carrying out a range of duties as directed by registered staff.
* Demonstrate an attitude which respects and values patients, service users and their carers, ensuring they are at the centre of care and treatment planning.
* Assist with activities of daily living, social, recreational and occupational activities as agreed in the service user care plan.
* Report general observations and provide feedback to a qualified practitioner both verbally and in written formats, if required.
* Contribute to maintaining a safe environment for service users in the community (where appropriate).
* Respond to the changing needs of service users.

Qualifications
* Level 2 NVQ Health and Social Care
* Care Certificate
Knowledge
* Understanding of issues of confidentiality.
* Ability to work as a member of a team.
Skills
* Ability to work on own initiative under the supervision of a qualified practitioner.
Experience
* Experience working in a care setting
* Experience of individuals with mental health problems or personal lived experience of mental health problems.
