Wateringbury Surgery is a friendly and innovative semi-rural dispensing practice with a branch surgery in Larkfield. Our patient list size is growing, and we require two motivated and enthusiastic receptionists to join and support the team.
Two vacancies for 27 hours per week each.

Salary: £11.51. You will be included in the NHS pension scheme.
4 weeks annual leave plus birthday leave.
A DBS check will be required.
If you are a registered patient at the practice and you are appointed, you will be required to register with another practice.
Main Duties of the Job
The purpose of the role is to:
* Offer general assistance to the practice team.
* Project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.
* Receive, assist, and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient, and effective way.
* Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice.
* Facilitate effective communication between patients, members of the primary healthcare team, secondary care, and other associated healthcare agencies.
Job Responsibilities
* Opening up/locking up of practice premises and maintaining security in accordance with practice protocols.
* Maintaining and monitoring the practice appointments system.
* Processing personal and telephone requests for appointments, visits, and telephone consultations and ensuring callers are directed to the appropriate healthcare professional.
* Assisting the Duty GP as Care Navigator with online triage requests.
* Processing and distributing incoming (and outgoing) mail.
* Taking messages and passing on information.
* Processing repeat prescriptions in accordance with practice guidelines.
* Computer data entry/data allocation and collation; processing and recording information in accordance with practice procedures.
* Initiating contact with and responding to requests from patients, other team members, and associated healthcare agencies and providers.
* Handing completed repeat prescriptions to patients, checking names and addresses.
* Handing dispensed medication to patients, checking name and addresses and evidence of exemption, if relevant.
* Collecting all due prescription charges and ensuring that the patient declaration on the reverse of the FP10 is duly filled in and signed by the patient.
* Processing patients' change of address and alerting the Practice Secretary of any patients moved out of the practice boundary.
* Advising patients of relevant charges for private (non-General Medical Services) services, accepting payment, and issuing receipts.
* Undertaking any other additional duties appropriate to the post as requested by the Partners, Practice Manager, or Reception Team Leader.
