We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Leakage Optimisation Analyst, As the successful candidate, you would play a critical part in the team by being the responsible person for highlighting issues related to the Leakage suite of assets.
This role is crucial to understanding and improving leakage within a region. You will be part of a team that helps deliver a unique service to our 14 million customers and join at a ground-breaking time for the water industry.
What you’ll be doing as the Leakage Optimisation Analyst
1. Report and raise jobs for all faulty commercial loggers and prioritise as required – a key activity assisting detection targeting work.
2. Leakage detection targeting in your appointed region utilising systems at your disposal such as Netbase, Netops/analytics, AORTA, and SAP – by locating jobs and raising notifications promptly to ensure jobs are raised as quickly as possible.
3. Highlighting, prioritisation and maintaining the DMA proving program assisting the engineer with this task to ensure that resource available is directed to the correct DMA to optimise the productivity of these teams.
4. Assists the engineer with desktop exercises to improve operability. This can be through the identification and prioritisation of field-based validation activity or desktop activity to highlight anomalies to address operability issues or function set changes.
5. Deputise for Leakage Optimisation Engineer on occasion, attend meetings etc and support the team to deliver the company’s leakage action plan and risk management plan.
Base Location: Stroud Green - Croydon - CR0 8YY.
Working Pattern or Hours: 36 Hours Monday to Friday.
What should you bring to the role?
6. We are looking for someone with a background in leakage or understanding clean water networks and the process.
7. Must have strong communication skills and be confident in organising their varied workload effectively with good time management abilities.
8. It is essential that the candidate is comfortable with computer software such as Microsoft Excel, possesses good analytical, problem-solving, and negotiating skills and is willing to learn and work hard to drive their career within Thames Water.
9. It is desirable that you would be degree educated in related subject with varied experience in using a system such as SAP and GIS however this is not essential.
