We often say that a visitor may spend their whole day on National Trust land but never realise it. Our team aim to change that by engaging with our visitors, offering a warm welcome and the advice that can turn a good day out into a great one. We are looking for someone who has a passion for the outdoors and wants to help visitors get the most out of their visit. Someone who understands the work we are doing to help keep the Lakes special for everyone and can communicate that through stories to help the public understand who we are and what we do.Day to day, you’ll be moving around the park, chatting with our visitors and providing a great all-round customer service experience. You’ll ensure visitors have the information they need, share the work of the National Trust and grow support through promoting memberships and fundraising.The Welcome Team is also responsible for ensuring the site is presented to a high standard which includes litter picking, checking signage around the site and keeping the toilets cleaned and stocked, all helping to provide the best experience possible for our visitors.As this is an outdoors role, you'll need to be comfortable being on your feet and working in all weather conditions.This role will mainly be based at Fell Foot, but at busy times of year you will also be working at other nearby locations with prior arrangement.
