This business has over 30 years of experience within the industry delivering high quality, full store fit outs & construction projects across the retail sector. The Role
As the Minor Works Contracts Manager, you will be reporting to the Contracts Director in delivering fast-track asset projects across the retail sector on a nationwide basis.
Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications
For this role you must possess the following:
1. Experience working as a Contracts Manager on Maintenance and Reactive projects in the Retail sector with values ranging from £5k to £250k
2. Previous experience managing multiple fast paced projects within live retail environments
3. Ideally hold a construction related qualification
Duties
As a Minor Works Contracts Manager, your responsibilities will include:
1. Reporting to the Contracts Director
2. Writing and updating project programmes
3. Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
4. Enforcing on labour selection and delegation
5. Assisting with project procurement requirements
6. Ensuring live project trackers and systems are kept up to date
7. Ensuring site packs are completed and sites are set up in accordance with relevant health and safety requirements
8. Arranging and chairing project meetings with all management team and clients, on and off site
9. Managing projects on site and throughout to completion
10. Implementing RAMS strategies
11. Managing internal construction teams and sub-contractors on site
12. Managing contractor works and quality on site
13. Managing project variations with sub-contractors and clients
14. Working with the interior design team and attending design meetings on site when required
15. Delivering all project KPI's
16. Reviewing and managing value engineering options throughout project life cycles
17. Monitoring project budgets and costs
18. Managing quality, snagging, and delivery throughout project life cycles
19. Signing off snagging on site with sub-contractors and clients
