Role purpose: We are seeking an established and commercially astute, Talent Performance & Learning Lead professional to lead on the development and delivery of talent policies, processes, tools and systems, supporting the delivery of our People Strategy; ensuring key stakeholders are consulted, engaged, and partnered. The ability to operate at a strategic and operational level when required is essential, to ensure the successful delivery of key initiatives. Main duties and responsibilities: Reporting to Chief People Officer, supporting MDC Leadership, their Managers and teams. Responsible for the design and delivery of a comprehensive talent programme for the MDC, including: Leadership development. Highly performing teams. Talent Develpment including High Potential Programme. Succession Planning and internal mobility. Emerging Talent. Early Careers Programmes including graduate and degree apprenticeship schemes. Sector Skills. Develops and maintains positive collaborative relationships with all relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful design, delivery and implementation of key initiatives. Be part of a team which is recognised as a source of expertise in areas including, leadership development, talent management, high performance and employee engagement. Coaching, challenge and provision of guidance to leaders to develop effective leadership impact and people managers. Work to embed an evolving cultural change, being an ambassador of the MDC Values and Behaviours. Supporting leaders and colleagues in developing an organisation culture of high performance and highly effective teams where all employees are able to perform at their best. Understands the key drivers of employee engagement, develop plans aligned to the MDC People strategy to continuously enhance the employee experience proposition at MDC and coaches leaders to understand and develop excellence from their teams. Monitors, evaluates and reporting on MDC talent and development programmes to evidence organisational and employee benefit. Actively seeks and listens to feedback from employees at all levels and offers insight and proposals in relation to the talent and development area. Support the work related to social impact and programmes to diversify our talent and staffing mix related to the changing needs of our future workforce. Lead Talent Projects and Programmes across the portfolio, including Leadership and Scientific focused. Proactive succession and workforce planning, and talent development initiatives for growth and programmes. Support growth and expansion, including talent models and initiatives for staffing projects and programmes. Work closely across functional areas to provide integrated cross functional solutions. Support workplace of the future agenda and initiatives designed to transform the workplace with new ways of working and embracing innovation. Qualifications & Expereince: MCIPD qualified/equivalent experience in a scientific/technical environment. Established Talent & Development Lead professional, with outstanding proven skills both strategic and operational.
