A wonderful primary special needs school in Windsor is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a graduate or experienced teaching assistant to support students with Autism, Global Developmental Delay, and a range of cognitive and learning disabilities.
The ideal candidate is a graduate with a degree (2:2 or above) who brings enthusiasm for working with SEN students and ideally has some experience in this area. This role will involve one-on-one support for students with Special Needs and Challenging Behaviour, and it is especially well-suited to someone who has previously worked in roles such as youth work, support work, or mental health care.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with therapists, psychologists, and other professionals to provide customized student support
2. Help students with emotional regulation, social skills, and behavior management
3. Support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
4. Maintain a calm, positive, and proactive approach, ideally with a keen interest in Psychology
