Location: Hull Reports Functionally to: Procurement Manager Reports Administratively to: General Manager Works Closely With: Sales Office, Pharmacy Office, Warehouse, Goods-In Main Duties and Responsibilities Upholding Procurement processes and policies. Sourcing: Conduct a Gap analysis for items requiring further research and sourcing alternatives. Ensuring the team have processed necessary PO’s in accordance with the system requirement Data Analysis: Analyse procurement data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for cost savings. Prepare and present reports on key procurement metrics to support decision-making. Collaborate with stakeholders e.g Senior Buyer/Commercial Manager to implement cost-saving initiatives. Market Research: Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, and emerging technologies. Ensure suppliers’ inventory updates flow of communication is actively maintained across multiple departments Supplier Management: Assist in the evaluation and selection of suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance. Assist management department in providing metrics assessing Delivery performance and OTIF (Order Turnaround in Full) metrics Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on Dynamics for Vendor Management System Maintenance- Purchase/Item functions Ensure Dynamics is up to date with regards to Inventory Management. Ensure the categorization of items is in line with internal compliance policies. Assist with stock take preparations by providing reports to support stock controller and general manager Process Improvement: Work with cross-functional teams to streamline procurement processes and enhance efficiency. Recommend and implement process improvements to optimize the procurement lifecycle. The Candidate Previous experience in Product Sourcing/ Product Analyst preferred (min 2yr) Knowledge of Medicinal/Pharmaceutical products Proficient in Microsoft Office (namely Excel and/or Business Central) Preferred analytical abilities with proficiency in data analysis and market research Punctual Hardworking Team player Focused and pro-active Fluent in spoken and written English Excellent attention to detail Position based in Hull - 5 days a week (no virtual / hybrid) Required Competencies Deciding & Initiating Action: Makes prompt, clear decisions which may involve tough choices or considered risks; Takes responsibility for actions, projects and people; Takes initiative, acts with confidence and works under own direction; Initiates and generates activity.
