Senior Programme Manager
Glenrothes - Scotland
This leadership role will be responsible for directing a multi-disciplined, company-wide team to drive growth, capture and execute the delivery of the Controls and Power portfolio of products. Together the team delivers a varied range of programmes from development, production, integration, and support. With planned 2024 revenue in excess of $70m per annum, this role contributes to the P&L of the newly formed Advanced Products Mission Area. Our current customers are across the globe and we have ambitious plans to grow into new markets over our long range plan.
The Senior Programme Manager must be able to work at appropriate levels within Raytheon UK, partner companies and the customer organisation by engaging with key stakeholders and identifying and addressing their collective needs. An innovative and commercially aware approach will be critical to delivering success. Work location can be flexible, but there will be a focus on Raytheon's facilities in Glenrothes and Livingston.
This role reports to the Mission Area Lead; Advanced Products and we are keen to support someone who would like to be part of our long-term succession plans.
This is a complex and challenging role that is both highly rewarding and high profile, with extensive communication and interfacing with RTX internal and external customers and partner organisations. It demands excellent interpersonal skills and high levels of energy and stamina. The role holder shall be required to:
1. Champion the use of RTX CORE operating system in developing and maintaining an inclusive, agile and innovation led culture in Raytheon UK's Controls and Power Product Sub Mission Area.
2. P&L responsibility for the Controls and Power Product Sub Mission Area including planning and delivering investments and other business ventures and synergies.
3. Contribute towards the development and execution of Raytheon UK's Controls and Power Products Sub Mission Area strategy and to drive business growth.
4. Lead, enthuse and motivate the Controls and Power Product Sub Mission Area team and implement business plans, growing to agreed targets and commitments.
5. Deliver Controls and Power Products Sub Mission Area programmes within agreed budgets using Earned Value and other KPI techniques, delivering each contracted milestone to agreed performance, cost and schedule commitments.
6. Facilitate complex problem-solving initiatives with technical competence and the ability to think through strategic solutions from the customers', company's and partners' perspectives.
7. Work as a key and active member of the Mission Area team, collaborating across the Missions and Functions to achieve overall business goals and objectives and contributing to both short and long term business planning and forecasting.
Candidate Requirements:
Essential:

3. Able to engage with technical experts with credibility and understanding.
4. Drive to create change and continuously improve performance demonstrating creativity and openness to innovation in order to solve complex problems.
5. An able communicator in verbal, written and presentational forms including at senior levels and especially to the customer.
6. Energy and Drive - willing to travel within the UK and internationally.
7. Experience in delivering complex technical projects for Government type Customers.
8. Demonstrate role model High Performance Culture behaviours.
9. Proven ability as a team player who works well with others and builds lasting, constructive relationships both with the customer and inside the business.
10. This is a challenging role, a high degree of personal resilience is required.
Desirable:
1. Degree in engineering or business management.
2. Good understanding of the customer (UK MoD, Foreign Governments and Military) and with experience in the Defence sector.
3. Member of a relevant Engineering or Programme Management Professional Institution.
