The Technology, Media & Services (“TMS”) group exists to capitalise on key Tech mega-trends – digitisation, outsourcing, regulatory-driven transformation – supporting the rapid shift towards technology-enabled and service-led businesses across industries and markets. Nomura’s TMS group is focused on three key macro-verticals: (i) Software & IT Services, (ii) Fintech and (iii) Media, Entertainment & Education.
Role Description:
* Taking a lead role in execution, including leading and overseeing financial analysis, modelling and valuation, financial due diligence, process management and client deal team interaction.
* Co-ordinating and working with all other product, geography and industry teams, including: M&A, Leverage Finance and Equity Advisory.
* Working on a range of transaction types, including sell-side M&A, buy-side M&A, leveraged buyouts, equity advisory mandates, for a broad range of public or private clients.
* Engaging broadly across teams/groups, for example: M&A, Leverage Finance, Financial Sponsors, Equity Advisory, Structured and Risk solutions.
Skills, Experience, Qualifications and Knowledge Required:
* A proven background and successful experience in Corporate Finance from either a bank/boutique advisory firm or comparable roles in the Corporate Finance, Modelling & Valuation, Transaction Services groups of a leading accounting firm.
* Previous experience and genuine interest in the Tech sector considered a plus.
* Excellent financial modelling experience (e.g. operating models, LBO).
* Experience in buy-side and sell-side M&A execution.
* Project management: ability to manage teams to deliver to client needs.
* Strong communication skills: ability to interact confidently with banking professionals and clients.
* Outstanding analytical skills, including ability to perform data analysis.
* Teamwork: experience of working in a project-based environment with tight deadlines.
* Strong academic record.
Desirable:
* Fluency in a European language.
