We are on the lookout for an experienced Joiner/Cabinetmaker to lead our team who also prides themselves on high-quality work and delivering great service to all customers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Management: Lead and manage daily activities within the joinery workshop, ensuring that production targets, quality standards, and project deadlines are met.
2. Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and develop the cabinet making team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
3. Project Coordination: Oversee joinery projects from inception to completion, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation. Collaborate with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are understood and met.
4. Quality Assurance: Monitor production processes to maintain high-quality standards, ensuring that all work complies with industry regulations and client specifications.
5. Resource Management: Manage inventory levels of materials and supplies, order resources as needed, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
6. Health and Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce health and safety protocols within the workshop to maintain a safe working environment for all staff.
7. Budget and Cost Control: Develop and manage budgets for joinery projects, monitor expenses, and implement cost-effective measures without compromising quality.
8. Client Relations: Build and maintain relationships with clients, addressing any concerns or feedback promptly to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
Qualifications:
1. Experience: Proven experience in joinery or cabinetry, with a strong background in workshop management and project oversight.
2. Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
3. Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of cabinetry techniques, woodworking machinery, and relevant software for project management quoting and design.
4. Organizational Skills: Exceptional planning and organizational abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
5. Health and Safety Awareness: Understanding of health and safety regulations related to woodworking and workshop environments.
The ideal candidate will be able to start ASAP, will be at the top of their game, and have a high standard of personal presentation and workmanship with previous proven experience. They should be reliable and a team player, possess strong customer service skills, and be well organized.
