Job Purpose:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Mobile Gas Engineer to join our team in the Hull and East Yorkshire area. In this role, you will carry out a variety of maintenance and repair tasks, including gas systems, fabric, and basic electrical duties, for our high-profile retail and banking clients. You will be responsible for Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive tasks, and ensuring compliance with all statutory and mandatory regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Maintenance tasks for gas systems, heating, ventilation, and other building systems.
2. Complete all required certification, ensuring tasks are completed within legislative timescales.
3. Carry out emergency and reactive work as needed, using handheld technology for reporting and task management.
4. Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota to provide full coverage for clients.
5. Monitor and manage visiting subcontractors, ensuring high standards of work and Health & Safety compliance.
6. Issue permits and oversee small works and escort duties.
7. Proactively identify additional opportunities for work or improvements on-site.
8. Ensure accurate and timely completion of all work-related paperwork and reports.
What We Are Looking For:
1. City & Guilds Level II/III (or equivalent) in Gas Engineering or a relevant discipline.
2. Extensive experience in gas system maintenance, testing, and fault-finding, including boilers, ventilation, pumps, and generators.
3. Knowledge of building systems such as switchgear, cables, batteries, small power, and lighting (where applicable).
4. Experience with Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Maintenance tasks.
5. Strong understanding of Health & Safety standards and safe working practices.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.
7. Ability to manage and prioritise tasks efficiently.
8. Strong communication and customer service skills.
9. Full UK driving licence (required).
