Health & Safety Manager
Location: Greater Manchester
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 plus mobile phone, laptop, private healthcare, private pension, company days out and 24 days holiday excluding statutory days
We are a full turnkey solution providing design, installation and fabrication to Water Utility companies and Construction companies across the UK.
Due to planned growth, we are now looking for a Health & Safety Manager to join the ever-growing team.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensure working practices are safe and comply with legislation.
2. Prepare health and safety strategies and develop internal policies.
3. Keep records of inspection findings and produce reports that suggest improvements.
4. Record incidents and accidents and produce statistics for managers.
5. Ensure training targets are met and maintained in accordance with current legislation, ensuring correct courses are booked, reviewing staff skills and matrix in line with both Client and Legislation requirements.
6. Manage all technical risks and coordinate actions to reduce or mitigate.
7. Manage the strategic growth of Health and Safety culture.
8. Produce COSHH assessments and manuals in line with the COSHH Regulations.
9. Carry out PUWER assessments on site equipment in line with the PUWER Regulations.
10. Submit RIDDOR reports to the HSE in accordance with legislation.
11. Assist with and develop Training Manuals for employees.
12. Provide a monthly Health & Safety report on health and safety-related matters.
13. Carry out site audits and ensure compliance.
14. Create RAMS in line with company tasks.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Hold full UK Driving license.
2. NEBOSH diploma or equivalent.
3. Work on own initiative.
4. Reliable and punctual.
5. Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
6. Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
7. Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
8. Strong analytical, problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking skills.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
