12 month FTC - Supply Planner
A leading global FMCG brand is looking for an accomplished Supply Chain Planner to join their team for a 12 month maternity cover contract.
As the Supply Planner, you will join the Operations planning team based in West London. This role involves managing finished goods purchase orders to ensure stock availability and optimizing inventory across your given region. You’ll collaborate with the other planning teams to support product launches and ensure customer demand is met.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Prepare and track short- and long-term supply plans to ensure stock availability while meeting inventory targets.
2. Confirm purchase orders with co-packers, including delivery dates, quantities, and bill of materials.
3. Identify and report risks related to slow-moving or obsolete stock, working closely with cross-functional teams.
4. Monitor potential stock-outs due to production delays or changes in demand and take action to mitigate risks.
5. Collaborate with product development teams to support new product launches and ensure timely project delivery.
6. Maintain purchase orders and master data within SAP to support operational plan accuracy.
7. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
8. Monitor co-packer performance and anticipate issues, implementing contingency plans when necessary.
9. Ensure regular supply reviews with co-packers to align with long-term capacity planning.
10. Conduct root cause analysis on relevant KPIs, such as inventory turns and plan compliance.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
1. Proven supply planning experience ideally in the FMCG space.
2. Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
3. Strong communication and people skills, with a sense of urgency and responsibility.
4. Ability to work well under pressure and in a cross-functional international team environment.
5. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; SAP APO experience is desirable.
6. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
This is a hybrid role where you will be expected to be in the office 2 times per week. As this is a maternity cover contract, you will need to be in a position to start working with the business by December.
The salary bracket is £42,000 - £48,000 + bonus and benefits.
