Job Type: Permanent Full Time Office Based Salary: £30,000 to £40,000 experience depending Job Description Our client is a successful engineering consultancy, working on a diverse range of interesting and challenging projects. Due to their continuing success and increasing workload they are looking for a talented Senior Civil & Structural CAD Technician to join the team. The role will provide support to the Civil & Structural Principal Engineer. The required candidate will assist in providing structural draughting support in relation to a wide range of work from across the client's businesses. Role and Responsibilities: Assistance with the management and quality of the draughting team Overall responsibility for the delivery of accurate project drawings within allocated budgets Assistance with fee proposals / allocating internal budgets Able to collaborate and coordinate with all members of the design team, internally and externally. Understanding and implementing the company ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems Able to manage, train and mentor other members of the draughting team Use initiative, manage and prioritise their own workload and meet challenging deadlines. Experience/Qualifications: Minimum 7 years’ experience as a Structural CAD Technician working within a consulting engineering design office on civil engineering and building structures projects (residential, commercial & industrial) Significant experience of reinforced concrete detailing and steelwork detailing. Significant experience in drafting underground drainage including S104 applications, SUDS and Highways (Section 38 and 278 Applications. Fully conversant in AutoCAD (2D and 3D) Have a good knowledge of industry drafting standards.
