Linux System Administrator - Global Brand - Up to £75K Basic Salary - £120K + OTE (25% Bonus + Stock)
Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen with a market leading Software company for an experienced Linux SysAdmin. We are looking for a self-driven professional to assist with operational support of customer-facing SaaS products.

Role and Responsibilities:
1. Being part of a critical operations function that is responsible for the monitoring, availability and performance of production services
2. Responding to stakeholder requests within agreed timescales or SLO
3. Drive automation to reduce failures, manual tasks and therefore improving overall application performance and availability
4. Perform systems administration activities to ensure the smooth operation of applications across multiple platforms
5. Coordinate and communicate with impacted stakeholders as per incident management process
6. Demonstrate ownership of events and incidents through to restoration
7. Support critical systems that handle sensitive and proprietary data
8. Create, maintain and update work instructions for troubleshooting and supporting applications
9. Contribute to the planning of application/infrastructure releases and configuration changes
Essential Skills and Experience:
1. 5+ years of experience administering Linux systems
2. Strong hands-on experience of variants of Linux distros
3. 2+ years Operational experience of working with Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud Platform
4. Experience of working with an automation platform to automate repetitive actions that reduce manual effort
5. Familiarity with deployment tools such as Ansible Tower and Jenkins
6. Proficient with orchestration/configuration tools such as Ansible and Terraform
7. Experienced and confident in any scripting language
Package:
1. Basic salary ranging up to £75K (Over £100 OTE)
2. On site in the Bristol area - 5 days a week
3. Up to 25% bonus
