We are recruiting for an experienced Skilled Workshop Forklift Engineer to join our Exciting ‘Team.’ The position is full time, and we would love you to work within our Workshop Team based at our Stacatruc East depot in Beccles/Ellough. We need your forward thinking and skills to maintain, repair, service and modify a range of material handling equipment. Because we are independent every challenge is new and different, and we would really welcome your help. We would love your help with: Repairing: ⚙️ Electrical, mechanical and hydraulic components ⚙️ Hydraulic valves and rams ⚙️ Final drive and gearbox components ⚙️ Engines and components Servicing: ⚙️ Gas, diesel and electric powered forklift trucks ⚙️ Using check sheets i.e checking brakes, lifting assembly & steering in working order ⚙️ Changing oil and filters as necessary ⚙️ Thorough Examinations pending qualifications ⚙️ Preventative Maintenance, such as lubricating steering and lifting equipment. Overhaul of Forklift Trucks: ⚙️ Completing partial strip-down of gas, diesel, or electric forklift trucks ⚙️ Preparing, steam cleaning or painting the chassis of forklift trucks ⚙️ Bolting / welding on ancillaries to the chassis’ Battery Maintenance: ⚙️Check voltages and fluid levels of forklift trucks, using meters and hydrometers. New & Used Equipment Preparation: ⚙️ Preparation of gas, diesel and electric forklift trucks by performing per-delivery inspections (PDI’s), using check-sheets from the manufacturer to check the specifications to meet the customer’s requirements, along with overseeing the dispatch and receipt of trucks in and out of the Depot. Paperwork: ⚙️ Weekly time-sheets ⚙️ Completing PDA on a daily basis to record progress of repairs, parts used or required, etc. ⚙️ Liaising with the Service Controller or Transport team, as necessary and advising of any changes ⚙️ Any other reasonable duties related to this role e.g. May be required to collect spare parts locally. Occasional site support to the field service engineers Qualifications and Skills of the Workshop: You will have worked with material handling products or hold an engineering or mechanical position and are looking for that next step to further your career.
