About the Role:
A dedicated and highly motivated Primary Care Physiotherapist is sought to join a multidisciplinary healthcare team in Milton Keynes. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a primary care setting, providing expert musculoskeletal (MSK) assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to patients within GP surgeries and the wider community.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conducting first-contact physiotherapy assessments for patients presenting with MSK conditions.
2. Providing expert clinical advice and developing treatment plans to support patient self-management.
3. Working collaboratively with GPs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
4. Delivering evidence-based interventions, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and education.
5. Supporting patients in managing chronic conditions and preventing further injury.
6. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.
7. Contributing to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
1. HCPC registration and Chartered Physiotherapist (CSP) membership.
2. Degree in Physiotherapy (BSc or MSc).
3. Experience working within musculoskeletal physiotherapy, preferably in a primary care or community setting.
4. Strong communication and clinical reasoning skills.
5. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
6. Knowledge of NHS pathways and primary care structures is desirable.
