Job Description
Qualified Social Worker, Knowsley Council, Adults Safeguarding Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within an Adult Social Work team.
The team works extremely well together to ensure the safety of vulnerable adults under the close supervision of a supportive Team Manager.
The responsibilities will include:
* Undertake safeguarding enquiries in line with the Care Act 2019.
* Identify concerns in relation to allegations of abuse or neglect, if the adult has care and support needs and as a result of these needs unable to safeguard themselves.
* Work within adult social care and demonstrate an ability to undertake Care Act assessments, Mental Capacity assessments, and safeguarding adult enquiries.
* Safeguard and promote the welfare of adults at risk and their families/carers alongside implementing the Making Safeguarding Personal and strengths-based approach to safeguarding adults.
* Report writing.
* Home Visits.
* Liaise with other professionals.
* 36 hours per week (flexible by negotiation).
* 2 Month Temporary Contract.
* Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance.

The successful candidate will need to hold a DipSW or equivalent, must be registered with the HCPC, have a current DBS, and be a car driver.
