You will:
1. Provide technical leadership for the successful delivery of multi-discipline offshore cable projects.
2. Design and engineer submarine cable systems, including route selection, cable type, cable specifications, and installation methods.
3. Conduct feasibility studies, performing cable load calculations, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
4. Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to develop optimal cable designs that meet project requirements.
5. Select appropriate cable types, determining routing and cable burial requirements and risk assessments, calculating cable ratings.
6. Design development of array cables, optimizing array and export cables.
7. Actively take part in Industry working groups such as CIGRE, IEEE.
If you have experience in the following, we'd love to hear from you:
1. A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline, preferably Electrical or Power Engineering.
2. Prior experience in offshore cable engineering, marine renewable energy, or oil and gas industry is highly desirable.
3. Desirable - HVDC projects both onshore and offshore; including HV cable system design and ratings (CYMCAP).
4. Strong knowledge of submarine cable systems, including cable design, installation methods, and industry standards.
5. Familiarity with offshore design development works, marine construction projects, and subsea infrastructure design.
6. Attained or working towards Chartered Engineer status.
7. The ability to travel as projects dictate.
