My client is a leading provider of electrical solutions for large-scale infrastructure projects. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Supervisor to oversee electrical installations and maintenance for a major water project across multiple sites in North England. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on critical water infrastructure, with travel and accommodations provided.
Job Description:
The Electrical Supervisor will be responsible for managing electrical teams, ensuring the safe and efficient installation, maintenance, and commissioning of electrical systems on various water treatment and distribution sites across North England. You will oversee electrical operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure the project is completed on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
1. Supervise electrical installations, maintenance, and commissioning on water-related infrastructure projects (e.g., water treatment plants, pumping stations, distribution networks).
2. Lead and coordinate electrical teams across multiple sites, ensuring work is carried out safely and efficiently.
3. Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
4. Provide technical guidance and support to electricians and other team members.
5. Review and approve electrical work plans, risk assessments, and method statements.
6. Conduct regular site inspections and ensure all electrical installations are completed to the highest standards.
7. Liaise with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.
8. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues on-site as needed.
9. Maintain accurate documentation, including site reports, electrical schematics, and inspection records.
10. Ensure all team members are trained and equipped with the proper tools and PPE.
Qualifications:
1. Gold ECS card
2. SMSTS
3. Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor, with specific experience in the water industry or similar infrastructure projects.
4. Strong understanding of electrical systems and regulations, with the ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
5. Previous experience managing electrical teams and coordinating work across multiple sites.
6. In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and risk management.
7. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
8. City & Guilds 2365 or equivalent electrical qualification.
9. 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations certification.
10. Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to multiple sites across North England.
