As our Manufacturing Improvement Trainee you will support the Engineering Manager in ensuring the maximum efficiency and availability of production equipment, utilities and related facilities at optimal cost and under satisfactory conditions of quality, safety and protection for the environment. Accomplish improved overall efficiencies and outcomes while maintaining employee safety and upholding product quality standards. Keep abreast of current industry practice, new equipment etc. Work effectively with the wider Vistry Works teams and personnel to enable optimum and most cost effective production solutions. most innovative advances available. Make recommendations of best practice or alternative manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for continuous improvements by reducing cycle times, process variations, defects, set up times etc. Create and manage quality supporting data to demonstrate productivity, manning and throughput. Support improvement projects using LEAN deployment, 5S, 6S and Continuous Improvement methods Coordinate and monitor planned maintenance schedules with site Maintenance Engineers. Ensure compliance with all statutory HSE requirements and Vistry Works specific initiatives. Support and manage new machinery and equipment installation projects in full from initial requirement/concept through to completion.
