Benefits: • Paid breaks • Paid NMC subscription • Free training, including in-house development plans and e-learning • Free uniform • Free sandwich provided during shifts • Employee Assistance Programme • DBS check (paid for by Century Healthcare) Main Duties & Responsibilities: • Develop and implement nursing care plans, ensuring the highest level of personal care and attention is provided to residents in line with their individual needs. • Comply with all relevant statutory and legal requirements, such as Health & Safety, COSHH, and the Care Standard Act, ensuring safe reporting of accidents and incidents. • Ensure safeguarding of residents from abuse, in accordance with safeguarding protocols. • Deliver and supervise nursing care while being a resource for the care team, identifying training needs and supporting colleagues. • Maintain NMC professional registration and adhere to NMC Codes of Practice, including medication administration, record-keeping, and professional conduct. • Accurately administer medication to residents, maintaining appropriate records. • Oversee stock control of prescribed medication and medical products, reporting any requirements to the Line Manager. • Respect and maintain confidentiality regarding residents’ personal information and any incidents occurring during care. • Actively contribute to staff meetings and care plan reviews, promoting good communication and supporting the induction of new team members. • Be assigned as a named nurse for a designated group of residents, ensuring care is consistent and personalised. • Participate in staff training, supervision, and appraisals as agreed with your line manager. • Maintain mandatory training and comply with ongoing professional development. • Ensure confidentiality of all information relating to residents and staff. • Undertake any other operational duties as required by the Line Manager, with tasks prioritised according to the needs of the home.
