Part Time Experienced Registered Social Worker - CAMHS and Eating Disorders
You must be Registered with Social Work England to be eligible for this role
Location: Wolverhampton
Salary: up to £45,000 per annum pro rata - negotiable depending on Experience
Hours:Part time 3 days per week 9-5 - Permanent
Shifts: Mainly Monday - Friday though the role may require you to work some evenings or weekends

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Qualified Social Worker, Registered with Social Work England and ideally with CAMHS experience to work within our brand new state of the art 15 Bed CAMHS Eating Disorders Hospital. This is an excellent time to join a forward thinking organisation with huge growth plans over the next 5 years. The directors have over 50 years experience in the mental health sector and are looking for a talented Social Worker to join the team. There are genuine professional development opportunities for the right candidate. This specialist eating disorder service is for young people aged 13-18 years whose needs can no longer be met in the community.
Essential elements to your role:
Safeguarding
Assessments of and meeting with carers and families.
Liaison with community services to secure transfer of care as required
To act as link between inpatient services and receiving community teams
Discharge planning.
liaising with/assessing advocacy services.
Overseeing patient rights.
Providing holistic social circumstances reports for tribunal.
Management and supervision of junior staff
As a Social Worker, you will ensure 8 - 18-year-olds within this award winning CAMHS / Eating Disorder service receive high-quality care, provide a confident experienced social work input to the team, and deliver expert advice and guidance on all safeguarding issues.
Requirements
Degree of equivalent in social work
Current social work England registration
Level 3 safeguarding training for adults and children
Strong understanding of confidentiality and appropriate information sharing
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good communication skills including verbal, written, negotiation and role modelling
Experience of multi-disciplinary working with adults with mental health conditions.
Practice experience of applying assessment skills within a statutory social work setting.
Knowledge of safeguarding for adults with care and support needs and children at risk.
Knowledge of methods of social work intervention.
Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations guidance & policy issues.
