REF: 0282 Sennie (SEN SPECIALIST NANNY) for B8, B6 and B4 Additional needs present: Autism Location: Near Northampton, NN6 Wage / Salary: Approx £43,316 to £45,864 per annum gross Driver: Essential with own car Live In/out: Live-In Pets: None Days & Hours: Term Time Monday-Friday: 7.30am-9am and 3.15pm-8pm with an additional hour worked each day during school hours. - Sole charge for 1 overnight per week plus 1 evening babysitting. - Additional hours in school holidays. - Some weekend work available if the Sennie wants more hours. Start Date: Ideally end of Dec/early Jan Who would suit this role: Experienced in Autism Support: Someone with a strong understanding of autism and the ability to support emotional regulation, verbal communication, and social interactions, particularly for children aged 6-8. Skilled in Emotional Regulation: A patient individual who can help the older boys manage frustration, navigate meltdowns, and develop coping mechanisms when things don't go their way. Encouraging and Creative: Someone who can foster B8’s interests, like chess and board games, while gently encouraging outdoor activities and new experiences to build confidence. Supportive of Academic Growth: A professional who can assist B6 in catching up on missed schoolwork, focus on academic tasks, and apply creative methods to reinforce learning. Experienced with Speech Development: Familiarity with supporting children with delayed speech, repetition of phrases, and sensory challenges, with the ability to promote verbal communication and expressive language. Balanced and Calm: A Sennie with the ability to handle challenges such as early wake-ups, occasional accidents, or strong-willed behaviour with a steady and positive approach. Understanding of Typical Child Behaviours: Comfortable managing typical youngest-child behaviours for B4, such as encouraging independence, sharing, and reinforcing age-appropriate social skills. Firm Yet Gentle: Someone who can provide consistent, clear guidance for all three boys while maintaining a warm and nurturing environment. There are nice towns and bigger villages nearby and it has good rail connections to London but the village is small with no shops (there's a school, pub and a church).
