Our client is looking for a Senior Modelling and Simulation Engineer to lead the development of advanced system models across a range of dynamics, including mechanical, electrical and thermal. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the use of advanced modelling tools and mentor a team of Junior Engineers.
A bit about the company and what they can offer you
Offering world-leading capabilities in platform dynamics, simulation intelligence, prototyping and more, our client strive to offer world-class and unique offerings that are unrivalled by competitors. Working within aerospace, premium automotive, sport and even lifestyle industries, there is such a wide scope for the projects you could be working on when you join.
Their culture is one that breeds high-performance, and you will be mentored and tutored to become the best version of yourself possible once you join.
What you’ll be doing
As a Senior Modelling and Simulation Engineer, you will be leading the development of advanced system models across mechanical, electrical, thermal, and fluid dynamics.
Your day to day might look a little like this:
• Develop, refine, and validate advanced multi-physics models to ensure they accurately represent complex systems across a range of dynamics
• Utilising advanced modelling tools to create and optimise high-fidelity physical models
• Leveraging on-premises high-performance computing and cloud software to enhance the efficiency of simulations
• Leading on highly technical projects, ensuring delivery is completed within the given timeframes and quality remains high
• Mentoring and guiding Junior Engineers within your team
A bit about you
Ideally, you’ll be based in Oxfordshire, UK.
You’ll have 5+ years of experience within multi-physics engineering, being an expert in advanced modelling tools such as MATLAB and Simulink or similar.
A few other key skills we are looking for:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field (a PhD would be even better!)
• Expertise in model variation, being able to correlate simulation data with real-world experimental results
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; working effectively across teams to deliver outcomes is crucial to success in this position
• A passion for mentoring Juniors in your team, fostering a relationship of continuous learning and improvement
