About the role
Morrison Water Services is recruiting for a Supervisor to work on our Developer Services contract in South Wales.
As a Supervisor you will be part of our Developer Services team who are responsible for the installation of water supplies to new developments across South Wales.
As the Supervisor your responsibilities will include:
SHE
- Ensuring the specific quality/policy requirements as set out by Client/MWS are adhered to in all works.
- Completion and sign off permits as required.
- Ensuring plant/equipment is safe, calibrated and being used by authorised personnel.
- Carry out and record TBT’s and safety briefings.
- Implement all safety initiatives as directed.
- PPE checks (TW branded) including head protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, gloves, High visibility clothing (Proban for dig gangs). Other PPE as required by task.
- Ensure jobs meet all environmental standards.
Street Works
- Liaise with Developers, Local authorities and TFL to design and implements appropriate traffic management solutions
- Ensure compliance with NRSWA notices and permit conditions.
- Checking of signing, lighting and guarding to ensure compliance with the NRSWA (red book).
- Check all permit boards details including permit number and date.
- Ensure traffic management is set up and maintained in accordance with agreed TM plans and NRSWA requirements.
- Quality
- Ensure compliance with all aspects of the TW Asset Standard.
- Ensure Strict adherence to all relevant Water Quality regulations
- Ensure the data integrity of all jobs completed including random dip testing of data including but not limited to; serial numbers (bar codes), co-ordinates, photograph quality on route and task stop-starts times etc.
Performance
- Ensure where possible production rates are met reporting any issues or slippages to their manager
- Ensure all gangs are completing all data fields in OFS and taking and posting the required photographs
- Ensuring the Resources are scheduled for the day ahead.
- Jeopardy management of jobs prioritising jobs with limited SLA days remaining
- Attend weekly meetings are done to discuss performance, targets, issues and any outstanding H&S issues.
- General
- Ensure the day-to-day compliance management including problem solving and resolution of issues arising.
- Ensure jobs are health, safety, quality and environmentally compliant in accordance with legislations, procedures and standards.
- Ensure any issue or problem encountered that you are not sure about are escalated to your line manager.
- Completion of plant and vehicle issue and return forms, inspecting all plant and vehicles for damage/defects on return and prior to issue
