A part-time opportunity has arisen to join our specialist palliative care team.
The 20.5 hour post to work over 3 days is a Band 7 CNS role based in Y Bwthyn Princess Wales Hospital Specialist Palliative Care unit. The position provides an outreach service to patients with palliative care needs across the community and hospital setting, supporting the population of Bridgend and the surrounding valleys in the local authority area.
The specialist palliative care service is delivered within teams on multiple sites across Cwm Taf Morgannwg. There may be a need for post holder flexibility in providing support to cover the CNS role across other sites, depending on patient needs.
Main duties of the job

The core hours are Monday to Friday 9-5pm but with participation in a 7-day roster, which will require giving advice to other health care professionals, patients, and families, potentially visiting patients in the hospital and community setting at weekends.
The successful applicant would be responsible for managing a caseload of patients with specialist palliative care needs in collaboration with the wider MDT, participating in education, audit, and providing leadership regarding the specialty.
You will need to be enthusiastic about the specialty, demonstrate experience of caring for patients with palliative care needs, and be able to meet the travel requirements.
The Specialist Palliative Care Team in CTMUHB is a multi-professional team providing a clinical, advisory, and educational service across CTMUHB.
