We're currently looking to recruit an experienced Supplier Technical Assistance Engineer for an exciting new opportunity based at one of our prestigious automotive client sites based in Crewe, Cheshire.
In this role, you'll focus on product quality maturation up to part approval, APQP & PPAP sign off activities along with monitoring and escalating any supplier timing plan slippages to the manufacturing and engineering teams.
Applications for this role are welcomed from experienced supplier quality engineers who can demonstrate previous experience in a similar role, ideally within an automotive manufacturing OEM or first-tier supply chain environments.
A good understanding of the automotive manufacturing process, quality documentation, and procedures including formal agreements such as Formel Q is essential.
In return, the successful candidate will be rewarded with a pay rate of £30.00 to £35.00 per hour Limited Company dependent upon experience and qualifications.
The role will be on an interim basis, with an expected duration of between 3 and 6 months.
Requirements
* Knowledge of various manufacturing processes.
* Excellent problem-solving skills.
* Operational knowledge of quality systems, tools, and techniques including: APQP/PPAP/8D/Six Sigma/problem solving/Process capability/Process auditing quality.
* The ability to communicate and present effectively at all levels.
* Tenacity, resilience, and focus.
* Develop quality planning within categorised suppliers.
* Problem-solving with suppliers during the part approval process.
* Significant relevant experience in an SQA/SQD role within an Engineering environment.
* Good leadership and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
* Good communication and presentation skills.
* Supplier audit & approval.
* Good understanding of Supplier Organisation and operations.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo a basic DBS criminal record check.
