We are looking for a qualified dental nurse (a trainee signing onto an NEBDN course, looking for a workplace will be considered) to join our team. This position will sometimes require reception work (not mandatory but preferred).
We are a rapidly growing and developing mixed (NHS/Private) dental practice based in Woodley, Reading. We perform all aspects of dentistry from general practice to implants and orthodontics.
The job involves:
* Assisting dentists and hygienists in carrying out dental procedures
* Caring and supporting patients in their needs
* Record keeping
* Decontamination and sterilisation of instruments and clinical areas
* Maintaining infection control logs
* Taking part in regular team meetings
* Maintaining patient confidentiality
* Working as a team
* Reception duties when needed
What we need from you:
* GDC registered and holding relevant qualification
* If not qualified, proof that you are enrolling onto an NEBDN course (or equivalent)
* Kind and empathetic mindset
* Punctual and reliable
* Good communication skills
* Competency with basic computer software (spreadsheets, databases, word processors, cloud-based documents)
* Able to work efficiently within a team but also confident to show initiative and work independently
* Must pass a DBS check (provided upon successful application)
