The Clinical access line is an all-age service providing support for service users their families and carers across Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire County. The Clinical access line offers initial screening and clinical triage for all accessing the service 111 Mental health option 2 Professionals line Existing service users known to Crisis services or secondary mental health care The service can offer clinical triage, referral and signposting to other secondary mental health services, other statutory and non-statutory services or emotional support at the time of the call. This role within the Clinical access line will work under the direct supervision of a clinician within the service. The role will screen referrals using the UK Mental health triage scale toolkit, escalate cases to clinical triage as indicated by the triage, signpost service users to other services best able to meet their needs including emergency services if indicated. This role will also offer focused emotional support to meet the service users immediate needs if indicated by the triage process. The post holder will be required to recognise situations of clinical risk and immediately escalate concerns under the direct supervision of the available registered professional. You will have the ability to take appropriate emergency action independently in line with policies and procedures appropriate action to ensure a safe environment for patients/families and staff with support as necessary. Please note that this post does not meet the pay level required for a Skilled worker visa. Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. In these circumstances the Trust would not, therefore, be able to sponsor for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa.
