The Opportunity:
We are delighted to be recruiting for a Regulatory Mapping Operational Design Specialist to join us at our Bristol Head Office. This is a full-time 6 month Fixed Term Contact (FTC) role that offers the benefits of a flexible hybrid working. Typically, this would require 1-2 days in our Bristol office per week with a choice of working from home on the other days (following an initial induction period).
The overall purpose of this role is to create a central repository that can be used by and embedded within the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Lines as a tool to demonstrate on-going regulatory compliance.
As Regulatory Mapping Operational Design Specialist, you are expected to report progress to the Springboard Programme Steering Committee on a monthly basis, and work with the Springboard Programme Manager to ensure alignment with the wider programme objectives and timelines.
Key responsibilities will require you to:
* Develop processes and a RACI for embedding and maintaining regulatory mapping into BAU - for horizon scanning, action delivery and relevant linkages to risk / control activities
* Size the resource and time required to manage this effort both in transition and in BAU, and provide a recommendation on how best to absorb this
* Review the market for tooling options beyond Excel to control the regulatory mapping data, updates and required changes, including links to action taken e.g. policy updates, ownership for progressing changes
* Either support implementation of tool, or establish controls / permissions within an Excel solution
What we are looking for:
To be successful in this role you have expertise in operational model and process design to optimise the embedding of regulatory processes across 1st and 2nd line risk teams. You will have experience and knowledge of a range of regulatory requirements and how those are mapped practically in a banking environment.
Have a high level understanding and/or a strong interest in potential tooling options available to support regulatory compliance management in a medium sized bank. In addition, you will have experience of scoping resource requirements to transition and maintain regulatory processes and have proven experience of implementation and embedding of new systems/processes.
Strong stakeholder management skills, be personable and be able to work with multiple stakeholders as well as experience working independently. Being a self-starter, capable of building momentum around delivery with limited day-to-day management, is desirable.
Triodos Bank is proud of its culture, ethos, and ability to make a positive change in society. It is important that candidates evidence a strong commitment to Triodos Bank’s core values of Freedom, Equity, and Responsibility, as well as the personal qualities to live these values.
