About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and creative Art Teacher to join our dedicated team in Wolverhampton. This role is an exciting opportunity to inspire and develop students’ creativity, skills, and appreciation for art in a supportive and dynamic learning environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging art lessons to students across various age groups, nurturing their talents and helping them to explore their artistic potential.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality art lessons that are engaging, inclusive, and aligned with the national curriculum.
Foster a positive and inspiring classroom environment that encourages creativity, experimentation, and self-expression.
Provide constructive feedback to students, supporting their progress and development in both technical and conceptual art skills.
Organise and showcase students' artwork through exhibitions and displays, celebrating their achievements.
Manage art materials and resources effectively, ensuring a safe and organized classroom space.
Collaborate with other departments and contribute to cross-curricular projects and events.
Candidate Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant degree in Art, Fine Art, Art Education, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience in teaching art at the secondary school level (Key Stages 3 and 4; Key Stage 5 is desirable).
Strong knowledge of a variety of art techniques, materials, and art history.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
Passion for teaching and inspiring students, with an emphasis on creativity and individual growth.
Organisational skills and the ability to manage projects, exhibitions, and events within the school.
