Job summary We are seeking to recruit an experienced, passionate, knowledgeable and dynamic Information Governance Manager to join Sussex Partnership during a time of change. The Information Governance Team provides expert advice and assurance to ensure the Trust's IG function is monitored and managed to the highest standards of best practice and in accordance with our statutory and legislative requirements. The role is to take the operational and managerial lead of the IG Team, working to support the Associate Director of Information Governance & DPO in ensuring all legal requirements and mandatory requirements of Data Protection and supporting legislation areimplemented across the Trust to a high standard. The role will be responsible for management and oversight of Records Management, Freedom of Information and Data Protection. The role will lead the implementation and embedding of the Trust's Privacy by Design and Default approach and Data Security & Protection Toolkit framework. Main duties of the job The Information Governance Manager will line manage a team of Information Assurance Officers, responsible for Freedom of Information, Records Management and Data Protection and will coordinate and support the operation of the Information Governance teams, and provide the first level of advice and escalation for exceptions.
