We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Manager for a children's home in Bedford.
This position is a permanent, full-time position with a basic salary of up to £55,000 plus an achievable bonus scheme.
The successful applicant will manage a BRAND NEW 2 bed home providing support to children presenting with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
As a Registered Manager, your main responsibilities will include:
1. Ensuring each young child has a care plan which reflects his or her emotional, care, education, social, therapeutic and cultural needs.
2. Regularly reviewing and updating the placement plan.
3. Allocating each young person a Key Worker who is responsible for the implementation of the care plan.
4. Building relationships with parents, carers and other professionals in relation to the support provided to each child.
5. Managing budgets effectively.
6. Ensuring that staffing levels and competencies meet the requirements of the home and its residents.
7. Ensuring new staff receive an induction and that each member of staff has a personal development plan.
8. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the statutory and procedural framework for residential care and communicating this to the wider team.
9. Providing leadership and supervision to the wider team.
